Earnest and Julio Gallery Wines is on of the largest family operated wineries in the world. They started as a small winery in Modesto, calcium in 1933. They eventually grew into a large corporation. Today, E & J owns several wineries and controls over 15,000 acres of vineyards and other facilities. They produce nearly 60 brands of wine that are sold in 90 countries. E & J produces many different wines including, table wine, sparkling wine, dessert wine, modify wine and even fine wines. As of 2006, E&J Gallo wines accounted for about 20% of the wine produced in the united States. Recently, Gallo has started to venture into the market of fine wines. They have so far been successful in this market and have receivable several quality awards..

E&J Gallo Winery has been family own and operated from day one. Today the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of founders Earnest and Julio run and work at Gallos wineries.
