Analyzing a Communication Event
The Scenario:
My mother and grandad are sit down at the dining room table discussing the cost of place new flooring.
Observations of the Conversation:
When my mother is speaking to my grandfather, she uses informal discourse choice. They sit diagonal to apiece other but they pretty lean into distributively other and hover over a notebook. Both make hand gestures to better understand each other, but I think my mother is an illustrator.
The main speakers look (mother) attracts attention to others around her cod to her volume and as the subject, currency matters, that my grandmother excessively needs to know of. My mother keeps chequer of the conversation by asking my grandfather whether there was anything he didnt understand or needed a clarification on. She also maintains eye contact with my grandfather as she explains prices and whatnot.
My grandfather is pay attention by continuously asking questions, suggesting ideas as they go and making gestures such as pointing to illustrate his point and withal interrupting every now and then. He also has his back glowering to the TV and any other form of external noise. My grandfather also keeps calculating numbers verbally.




Both are staidly thinking this through which is evident by their furrowed brows and the episodic leaning back in the chair. they also place their fist or palm under their chins or around the sassing area now and again and go silent. They both seem to detect comfortable around each other as they are fine talking to each other informally and occasionally interrupting each other without the other getting upset. My grandfather seems a bit upset by the end of the conversation due to the final cost of the flooring, its not ridiculous, just that my grandfather doesnt wish well spending money.
