Ive been lurking on this site for a little composition now, reading stories, now I think its time to dowry mine. For as long as I can remember, Ive always been insecure. As a kid I was short-circuit and overweight. I was never the pretty friend, or the popular friend. In fact, I was lucky during the times that I even had a friend. One of the worst times of my life was my senior yr in high school. I actually had a equate of friends, for once. My home life was painful to say the least. My single find had been laid off over again so money was irritated around the house. On weekends and after school I had a part time job to help around the house. unneeded to say, I caught the bus home (we couldnt afford a cable car at the time) and didnt have the most expensive wardrobe, but I tried to convince myself that those things didnt matter to me. Anyway, on to the push around. Again, I wasnt a popular kid, I was very quiet and shy and comely blended in with the scenery, but even this couldnt thwart lot to leave me alone. There were 3 kids in my class that could relieve oneself the whole class turn on you in a heartbeat, and I was their favorite target. The ringleader, John was a very lovable kid from a well to do family that was very problematic in the church.

What would a good looking kid who was purportedly a man of God (his words, not mine) be doing bullying me? I asked myself that same question every day. When I walked in the class, John would make a comment, usually about something he didnt like about my hair, and the entire class would burst into laughter. His deuce sidekicks were right at that place cosigning with him. John knew that I wouldnt stand up for myself and that was all the fuel he needed. He was very bold, again because he knew I wouldnt say anything. He and the other two would have competitions to see which of them could get the others to laugh the loudest and then of course, who could get the class to laugh the loudest.
